Cosmetic Plastic Surgery
Everyone is an individual and at McIndoe Surgical Centre that is how you will be treated.
Cosmetic surgery is no longer considered to be exclusively for the very wealthy, and as it has become more available to society as a whole. It is vital that you consider all of your options and examine your reasons carefully before undergoing surgery. It is very important to be sure you are having cosmetic surgery for yourself and not to please somebody else, and to make sure your expectations are realistic. Whilst breast enhancement may give your confidence a boost it will not guarantee you a career as a model. However, many people do find cosmetic surgery beneficial in various stages of their lives.
At McIndoe Surgical Centre you can feel reassured that our standards of care and our facilities are of the highest quality. All our cosmetic surgery consultants are fully accredited and are on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC), supported by our team of anaesthetists all of whom are fully qualified and experienced. Our dedicated nursing teams and Resident Medical Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment.
Cosmetic surgery is unique to every patient, that is why it is so important to have a thorough initial consultation. At McIndoe we encourage patients to have a second consultation before a date for cosmetic surgery is agreed. Patients should also remember that everyone is unique and some patients may take longer to heal than others, certain ethnic backgrounds, for example, are more prone to scarring. Whilst some patients have a high pain threshold, others may experience pain more readily.
If you would like a consultation please telephone our helpline or complete the contact form. A consultation does not commit you in any way to having cosmetic surgery. Once your consultant has explained the options available to you and has accepted you as a patient then we would be happy to discuss convenient dates for your cosmetic surgery, if you wish to proceed.
