Facilities
Being treated in a private hospital ensures you will receive high standards of comfort and care, as well as advanced techniques in treatment and surgery.
McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead has over 20 well-appointed private bedrooms, featuring en suite bathroom, television, a personal telephone, nurse call system and full room service. The hospital also has the benefit of a dedicated day care unit which is used for treating patients receiving a local anaesthetic.
We have an open visiting policy, allowing friends and family to visit at any reasonable time, subject to medical considerations and patient's wishes.
Surgical Theatre Facilities
There are three main operating theatres within the large air conditioned theatre complex, each with its own adjacent anaesthetic room. A central recovery suite allows post-operative patients to be closely monitored by state of the art equipment, before being returned to their private bedroom. All surgical instruments are decontaminated on site through McIndoe Surgical Centre's Sterile Supplies Department. This is one of only a few SSD departments in a private hospital to have gained accreditation as a manufacturer, and as such, undertakes work for many NHS Trusts.
McIndoe Surgical Centre offers a range of services and treatments within the outpatient department, including:
Paediatric and Adult Orthodontics

Taking Care of Child Patients
The hospital offers treatment for children over the age of 3 years in ENT, plastic and reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial and dental surgery and ophthalmology. Our team includes registered childrens nurses and paediatric anaesthetists. We appreciate that a stay in hospital can be stressful for a child and therefore a parent is always invited to stay with their child overnight.
In line with recent guidelines McIndoe Surgical Centre recognises that adolescents have different needs to children and therefore separate policies and procedures are in place for 12 - 16 year olds.
